Studio Policies
BASIC GUIDELINES
Full payment is required in advance to book the studio.
Lights, camera equipment, and paper or cloth backdrops are not included in the rental and will be charged separately.
Rental time begins either at the scheduled call time or when the first team member arrives, whichever is earlier.
Rental time ends when the last team member leaves the studio. Plan your shoot accordingly.
The client is responsible for any damage to the studio, furniture, or belongings during the rental period and will be charged for repairs or replacements.
If another client has reserved the studio after you, you must leave when your time slot ends. A 20-30 minute grace period for packing up is allowed. If you exceed this, you will be charged for an extra hour.
Restore the studio to its original condition within your rental period to avoid additional charges.
Incase the studio is not restored to the original condition, we reserve the right to a cleaning charge of Rs 2,000.
Incase of any damage, to the walls, floor, props, furniture or equipment, we reserve the right to recover the replacement cost.
No drilling of holes to any walls.
The use of paint, flour, fire, fireworks, poppers, or any powders/colors is prohibited unless you have permission.
CANCELLATIONS / RESCHEDULING
Payment: All shoots must be paid in full at the time of booking.
Refund Policy: We do not issue refunds. Instead, Surge Studio offers studio credit for cancelled bookings.
Rescheduling: To reschedule and receive full studio credit, cancel your reservation at least 24 hours before your start time. You can then rebook your desired studio, date, or time, subject to availability.
Late Cancellations: Cancelling within 24 hours of your booking time will result in a 25% refund in the form of studio credits. Please contact us if you need to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice.
No-Shows: No-show appointments will not receive any studio credit.
PARKING
The studio is located on a main road with ample free parking available for 2 wheelers in front of and around the studio.
Do not park directly in front of any gates or buildings to avoid being ticketed.
There is additional parking on the side road for 4 wheelers, just four buildings away, which has plenty of space.
FREIGHT ELEVATORS
The studio is on the 4th floor with a huge elevator, accessible from the main entrance.
Clients are responsible for loading and unloading their belongings.
Studio attendants are not responsible for moving clients’ items or for clients’ personal belongings.
GENERAL STUDIO RULES
Arrival: Please arrive 15 minutes before your booking to check in, get Wi-Fi details, and locate the bathrooms and changing rooms.
Footwear: Remove footwear upon entering to keep floors and furniture clean. Models on camera are exempt but must clean any marks or dirt from their shoes immediately. Standing on furniture incurs a damage fee.
End of Booking: Our attendants will remind you 15 minutes before your booking ends to ensure the studio is restored to its original condition. Return furniture and props to their places and dispose of all garbage to avoid a cleaning fee.
Security: Cameras are installed for security and safety, except in vanity and bathrooms.
Bathrooms: There is a common washroom. Keep it clean.
Noise Level: Keep noise and music at a reasonable volume and free of explicit content. Excessive noise will result in a request to lower the volume.
Content Restrictions: No pornographic, nude, or explicit content is allowed.
Intoxication: Intoxicated team members will be asked to leave immediately.
No Smoking: Smoking, including recreational drugs, vape, and hookah, is prohibited.
Booking Area: Your booking is limited to the rented floor. For tours of other areas, ask the attendant.
Fire Safety: All flames must be contained. Ask the attendant for a fire extinguisher if needed. Unconfined flames should be extinguished immediately.
Respect: Disrespecting studio rules, staff, or other clients will result in immediate booking termination and possible permanent ban from the studio.
DAMAGE / CLEANING DETAILS
End of Booking Check: Our reception staff will check the studio 10 minutes before your booking ends to ensure it's left in its original condition. Please return furniture and props to their original places and dispose of all garbage properly.
Cleaning Fee: If the studio is not left tidy or if any rules are violated after a warning, a Rs.2000 cleaning fee will be added to your booking.
Footwear: Do not step on furniture with shoes. Use indoor shoes or shoe covers if necessary. If taking pictures in outdoor shoes, you will be asked to wipe them down.
Moving Furniture: Lift, do not drag, furniture to avoid damage. Contact studio staff for assistance if needed.
Candles: Only candles with glass coverings are allowed to prevent wax damage.
Stains and Spills: Any stains on carpets, mats, furniture, floors, walls, or any studio property will result in a Rs.2000 cleaning fee.
Food and Beverage Shoots: Cover floors and furniture during food and beverage shoots to prevent slippery surfaces. Failure to clean will incur a cleaning fee.
Prohibited Items: No open flames, dry ice, sparklers, poppers, or smoke machines without prior approval. If needed, check with us at the time of booking.
Confetti, Fake Snow, Feathers: Book an additional hour for cleanup if using these items. If not, a Rs.2000 cleaning fee will be added.
Damages: Any damages to studio property, including floors, furniture, props, gear, or equipment, will require reimbursement at cost.
Booking Time: Your booking is only for the reserved studio floor and duration. Include setup and takedown time in your booking. Extra time can be rented if the studio is available. Consult the studio attendant for assistance.
